Wild Diary

It doesn’t need to be a special day to get out and connect to nature, but there are plenty of events to get involved with throughout the year. WildChild will be planning some summer events and schools so do look back.

“One Day Wild”

WildChild Outdoors Event with Duart Castle – Sunday 14th August

Keep the date! We’re running our first WildChild event at Duart Castle this summer.

Let your children connect to the wild for the day…

Activities include:

  • Creating a bug hotel: we’ll use natural materials to make a wildlife home on the castle estate
  • Eyes & ears: focus your senses and delve into a new world of sounds
  • Bug bonanza: get up close and personal with the little things in life
  • Moth madness: learn all about the “butterflies of the night” and moth trapping
  • Wildflower workshop: find, sketch and ID stunning wildflowers
  • Race for a rainbow: develop team skills and be the first to find natures colours

Plus, we’ll lunch in the wild with a picnic provided on the day!
